Emerald Ash Borer | Episode 5504

Ash trees are one of the most valuable and abundant woodland trees in North America, and are very popular for landscaping. The bright metallic-green beetle is smaller than a dime, but it can kill healthy trees—small ones in a year or two—but no more than four years for mature ash trees. Although it’s not been seen in Montana yet, the insect has been found in nearby states and provinces.
