MTPBS works closely with educators to design customized professional learning experiences. Take a look at some of the opportunities we’ve hosted for teachers in the past. Let us know if we can bring any of these events to your community!

MTPBS Edcamps | Peer-to-Peer Learning

We bring together educators for peer-led conversations with a PBS twist! This participant driven conference model gives participating educators the opportunity to collaborate around common goals and challenges through topics they select on the day of the event. Educators of young children receive support, ideas and a space to connect with like-minded professionals.

Teachers Innovating and Learning with Technology (TILT)

This facilitated collaborative professional development is a highly successful, FREE, 1-2 year program held once a month for two hours after school. Teachers who are accepted into this program hosted by their school district and facilitated by MontanaPBS Education will learn with fellow growth-minded colleagues about how to meaningfully integrate technology in the classroom. Participants earn OPI renewal units for participating and may be eligible for stipends when funds are available.

EdTech Fellowship | One-to-One Technology Integration Coaching

We believe the journey toward meaningful technology integration in any school is best forged by homegrown EdTech leaders blazing a path for their peers. This program is designed for emerging EdTech leaders who would like to spend a school year developing their skills as both technology integration specialists as well as leaders in their community.

Digital Learning | Customized Media Integration

We know that classroom demonstrations are one of the most effective professional development models. Sometimes a teacher just needs to "see it" before they can try it. K-3 classrooms can explore digital publishing, media literacy, digital citizenship, coding and media creation in this eight week lesson sequence modeled by an experienced teacher from MontanaPBS.

Appy Hour | Introduction to PBS Kids Resources

Our workshops teach families how to use online and offline PBS Kids content. These resources aim to enhance literacy and STEM skills in preparation for success in school. This is also an opportunity for families to engage in open dialogue about screen time and media use with young children. Workshops are free and held in partnership with other non-profit organizations and schools. Workshop dates will be released on this page as they are scheduled.

CoffeeEDU | A One Hour Unconference for Educator

CoffeeEDU is a subset of the unconference. It's not about promoting a product or organization, it's about expanding your PLN in a face-to-face meet up for one hour. We're excited to join this global movement and host sessions periodically throughout the year. No agenda, no pre-chosen topics, simply educators coming together to discuss topics that they're interested in. Learn more at coffeeedu.org.
