A compelling film portrait of the much-loved and admired Northwest poet, Richard Hugo (1923-1982). This documentary history of Hugo's life and work includes old photographs, memoirs, and illustrated readings of "Duwamish", "White Center," "The Milltown Union Bar, " "Degrees of Gray in Philipsburg, " "The Lady in Kicking Horse Reservoir.' and "at the Cabin" Filmed on location in Western Seattle and Hugh's home town of White Center. Other locations are in Montana's Flathead Valley, the Rocky Mountain Front near Choteau and in Missoula where Hugo Lived and taught.
