PBS LearningMedia

PBS LearningMedia (www.pbslearningmedia.org), a partnership between PBS and GBH in Boston, is a transformative digital media platform offering PreK-12 educators a free gateway to thousands of high-quality, trusted media-rich classroom resources. With content sourced from PBS Member Stations and valued partners, and created in collaboration with educators, PBS LearningMedia includes a rich mix of national and local educational content—including videos, interactive lessons, teaching tips, primary sources, and more—that elevates classroom teaching and learning. PBS LearningMedia is used by 1.4 million users worldwide each month. The site is visited by over 4,000 visitors in Montana each month.

Currently, Montana PBS produces original content for PBS LearningMedia as well as resources using video and photos from our local programs. Graduate assistants from Montana State University and the University of Montana collaborate to create education first digital content specifically for the site based on feedback from Montana teachers.

Montana PBS Education produced and published two collections of digital resources for PBS LearningMedia intended for Montana teachers and students to learn about science and social studies while also learning about the unique characteristics of the landscape of Montana and the people who live here.
