Starting kindergarten can be a scary transition for children, which is why Montana PBS is dedicated to inspiring “kinder-confidence!” 

This summer, we've assembled and distributed hundreds of free kindergarten readiness kits to children across Montana as they prepare to enter kindergarten. Each kit is filled with school supplies and learning materials designed to give children a strong, joyful start to school, including:

• Pencils with a pencil grip
• Crayons
• Scissors
• Number and letter cards (Featuring PBS KIDS characters)
• Family math activity book
• Reusable zipper pouch

These materials help children practice number and letter writing, develop scissor skills, and explore basic math concepts, giving them a head start when they step into the classroom for the first time.
