John Roberts y Pan Blanco takes the stage of 11th & Grant with Eric Funk, showcasing their energetic and contagious salsa, African and Latin dance grooves. John Roberts' many years of national and international touring, recording and performing experiences with Afro-Latin, Orchestral, Funk, Soul, Salsa, Pop, Jazz and R&B ensembles have led to an energetic collaboration that features a legendary group of artists. Roberts is accompanied by Kiko Cornejo, Jr. on timbales/bongo, Merle Roberts on bass/tres cubano/vocals, Trevor Krieger on fiddle and vocals, Sam White on saxophone, Cody Hollow on percussion/vocals, Raphael Lopez on guitar/bass and Bill Honaker on drums. After 17 years based in Los Angeles, John recently returned to his Montana roots. He is on staff at MSU Billings teaching jazz, music theory, low brass and world music. He regularly works and performs as a clinician and guest artist in schools, continuing to hone his skills as an educator by sharing the “real world" of music with his students.
