Endowment

An endowment fund is a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding. Endowment assets are invested. Each year, a portion of the value of the fund is paid out to support the fund’s purpose, and any earnings in excess of this distribution are used to build the fund’s market value. In this way, an endowment fund can grow and provide support for its designated purpose in perpetuity. When you establish or contribute to an endowment fund, you create a permanent legacy of support for MontanaPBS.

Montana Community Foundation

MontanaPBS works hand-in-hand with the Montana Community Foundation (MCF) to ensure that we can continue to bring public television to Montanans' homes free of charge. Since 1988, MCF has worked tirelessly to create permanent philanthropy and build stronger communities. Their work with donors, charitable organizations, cities, and towns plays a critical role in both philanthropic and community development. Since their founding, they have reinvested more than $41 million in Montana.
