About the Show

Unseen Engines examines five unique Montana-based businesses that harness the power of nature. Whether it’s mushrooms or yeast, ferments or compost, these businesses create great products for the state.  Getting into the dirt and making your living from scratch describes many Montanans, and each of these business owners take us through a day of gritty production, showing us the hard work it takes to bring these amazing products to fruition.  Not all production is about big business; the power of little things drives some industries.  These are the stories of nature lovers, fermenters, farmers, and the silent workers doing it all.  Not only do these businesses provide a service, they also strive for a sustainable lifestyle for the Big Sky state, by bringing ecofriendly messages along with the creation of their products.  Unseen Engines shows off five Montana businesses:  House of Ferments (Victor), Sun Hands Farms (Kalispell), YES Compost (Belgrade), Big Sky Beetleworks, LLC (Florence), Golden Triangle Brew Co. (Fort Benton).
