Anaconda: The Legacy
This program profiles the history and lasting legacy of the powerful Butte company that helped make Montana a state. At its peak, the Anaconda Company controlled mining, forests, the government and the media in Montana. They were also responsible for environmental damage and the world's largest Superfund site, the Berkley Pit. Anaconda: The Legacy was produced by students at the University of Montana School of Journalism and Department of Radio-TV for KUFM/Montana PBS, UM-Missoula.
