Montana State’s Noël Concert
Montana PBS presents the undeniable beauty and magic of the Montana State University School of Music’s annual Noël Concert. This feature broadcast performance program emanates from the students, many of whom come to Montana State from small, rural towns where only a few students participated in their high school music programs. At the Noël Concert, these students join their voices and instruments with nearly two-hundred other musicians in the beautiful setting of Holy Rosary church in downtown Bozeman for a special musical celebration. Music always takes center stage during the holidays. For the past ten years, on the first Friday of December, the choirs and orchestra at Montana State have ushered in the holiday season with their Noël Concert featuring wintertide music from all around the world. Three choirs – University Chorale, Voces Luminis, and Montanans - and the MSU Symphony Orchestra perform a one-hour concert that features all the sounds of the season. The commitment and skill the students bring to this special performance each year has made the Noël Concert a cherished holiday tradition in the Gallatin Valley, and will delight television audiences across Montana.
