2018 U.S. Senate Profiles
The candidates for the U.S. Senate have both criticized each other for voting against bills and nominations. But sometimes, the reason behind a "No" vote can be complex and more illuminating than any campaign ad. Why did incumbent Senator Tester vote against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act? Why did his challenger, State Auditor Matt Rosendale vote against a Dark Money disclosure bill? Both candidates get the chance to explain why they voted "No" on key pieces of legislation in Congress and the Montana Statehouse in a documentary profile that explores their voting records. The program doesn't focus solely on opposition, however. It also reveals some political friendships and the ability of both candidates to reach across the aisle and work in a bipartisan manner to accomplish their goals.
