Wheels and Wings (No. 117)

Since 1991, the Backroads crew has traveled across Montana visiting its unique people and places. The series airs regularly on MontanaPBS.

We're given a look at aviary art in Moccasin, an appreciation of Montana's first airmail service in Great Falls, a visit to a local history center and historic bridge near Sidney, a trip to Snake Butte near Ft. Belknap and a meeting with a wheelwright in Deer Lodge.

Program Updates
The Deer Lodge-based wheelwright moved out of state in 2005. Darrell Martin, our guide through the tribal history and lore of Snake Butte died in April 2007
