Signal Society

A Premiere Society for Premiere Investors

MontanaPBS is growing and expanding its signal and service in Montana. We want to bring an unprecedented level of service and quality public television to your community and your family.

The Signal Society was created to recognize spirited investors who have a strong commitment to our service.  Comprised of donors who annually contribute $1000 or more to the Friends of MontanaPBS, the society's dollars are placed in a premiere fund set aside specifically to asure the health and continuation of the MontanaPBS signal well into the future.  The dollars contained in the Signal Fund will be focused toward the technology essential to the delivery of MontanaPBS programs in your community.  In addition to supporting the delivery of the signal around the state via satellite, this fund will also be important seed money for the installation of new digital transmitters in Great Falls and Kalispell, the conversion of existing translators to digital (essential as the Federal government has mandated this conversion by 2009) and the continued adoption of changing technologies.  Join Now, learn more below or contact Lisa Titus, Development Director. 406-994-6221 or  lisa_titus@montanapbs.org

Why a Signal Fund?

Five years ago, MontanaPBS entered into a Capital Campaign to erect new over-the-air translators in Billings and Butte and to convert current transmitters to digital.  We received strong support and reached our goals.

The Signal Fund is meant to continue that momentum, but in a more sustained way.  As a renewable source of funds geared specifically toward the cost of delivering our signal around the state (currently about $300,000 a year), as well as seed money for the construction of new digital transmitters in Great Falls and Kalispell (bringing free, over-the-air public television to those communities for the first time), the Signal Fund will ensure the health of MontanaPBS for years to come.
