First Aired Thursday, April 21, 2005

They decide how much you'll pay in taxes, what constitutes a crime in Montana and what type of education your child will get...and they do it all in 90 days. They're citizen lawmakers, striving to make a difference. MontanaPBS' Anna Rau follows two freshman legislators to the capitol, Republican Harry Klock and Democrat Kevin Furey, as they struggle with six-day work weeks, a mountain of reading and hundreds of complicated bills. What will they accomplish their freshman session, and how will their decisions affect all Montanans? Produced by Anna Rau for KUFM/MontanaPBS, UM-Missoula.
