Fighting Fire With Fire: Saving West Glacier

The summer of 2003 brought the most devastating fires in Glacier National Park's recorded history; some 145,000 acres within the park's boundaries burned. This film documents the work of firefighters who rose to the challenge of dealing with the inferno: the Type 1 Team from Alaska, the Forest Service, the Park Service, the Montana DNRC, Flathead County Emergency Services. We see dramatic footage from the front lines of the Robert, Wedge and Trapper Creek fires--footage shot by filmmaker Jim Kinsey, producer of the award-winning "Firestorm 2000."
