This concert celebrates the Butte Symphony's 50th Anniversary with the first performance of a composition commissioned specifically for the people of Butte, MT by composer Erik Santos. A gift from the Johnson family, this piece of music captures the essence of Butte, and provides its citizens with a musical vehicle to express this essence. Conducted by Matthew Savery, the Butte Symphony also performs Camille Saint-Saens Symphony no. 3, ("Organ"), op.78, C minor. Produced by Aaron Pruitt for KUSM/Montana PBS, MSU-Bozeman.
