Beginning October 1st, MontanaPBS will be changing the encoding and modulation for its free satellite service on AMC21. Questions regarding this move should be directed to MontanaPBS Director of Technology, Dean Lawver at (406)994-3437.
This change is being conducted in order to take advantage of new, more efficient, compression technology, allowing for a higher quality picture, at a lower cost. Users of this service will now require a satellite receiver compatible with the "DVB-S2" standard. New tuning parameters are included below.
MontanaPBS has attempted to contact all carriers of this service to coordinate installation of new receiver technology, but some outages may occur as those carriers complete the necessary work to install the new equipment. We apologize for any inconvenience these outages may cause.
